Highland Elementary School

Established in 1954, Highland Elementary School is a part of the Standard School District and provides academic education to students in grades kindergarten through five. The school provides educational classes to students in a range of subjects, including English, math, reading, writing, spelling and vocabulary, basic skills, physical education and social studies. It has a parent-teacher organization that enables teachers, parents and administrators to enhance the educational experience of students. The school s facility includes a cafeteria, library, gymnasium, media center, music room and art lab. It has a staff of more than 70 full-time teachers and over 600 enrolled students. Highland Elementary School is located in Bakersfield, Calif.
