The Henry J. Kaiser Convention Center closed in 2006; however, the multipurpose, 5,500-seat arena got some renewed attention thanks to the Golden State Warriors, which concluded their 2015 NBA Finals victory parade and threw a rally on convention center grounds. Built in 1914, the Beaux-Arts style landmark hosted the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus until 1941 and the Oakland Symphony Orchestra until 1972. Notable concerts at the convention center include Elvis Presley, the Grateful Dead, and Green Day, among others.
