Heather Thompson Smits, NCTM, has been teaching piano in her private studio since 1992. She works with students of all levels and ages and offers in-person and virtual piano lessons.

* Personal Development: Learn important life skills including self-confidence, discipline, goal setting, perseverance and responsibility. * Performing: Perform in recitals, evaluations and competitions. Learn memorization techniques, confidence building tips and how to play expressively. * Note Reading: Improve sight reading with apps, note-speller books and software. * Technique: Develop strong, fast fingers with exercise books. * Classical Training: Classical music is my focus but I also encourage students to play a variety of styles and love for them to choose some of their pieces.
