Health Plan of San Mateo is a mixed model managed health care plan serving Medi-Cal beneficiaries of San Mateo County in California since 1987. It is governed by the San Mateo Health Commission comprising representatives from the community, physicians, pharmacists, health care providers, hospitals, businesses, members of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and the San Mateo county manager. The well Women program provides education and information about mammograms, breast examinations, Pap tests and gynecologists. Additionally, it offers adolescent health care and pharmacy services.
