Hart Memorial Park, one of Kern County's oldest parks, was dedicated in 1929 and renamed in 1947 in honor of Supervisor John O. Hart. Spanning 370 acres along the Kern River, the park features two picturesque lakes for fishing, a wide range of wildlife, and numerous picnic spots equipped with tables and grills.
