The City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks is dedicated to providing accessible recreational opportunities throughout the city, managing a variety of facilities including parks, swimming pools, and playgrounds. Established under the city's first Freeholder Charter in 1889, the department oversees community spaces meant for the perpetual use of the public, stemming from original Spanish land grants.
With a focus on enhancing community well-being, the department offers diverse programs and services such as child care, day camps, and outdoor fitness activities. By fostering partnerships and encouraging volunteerism, they strive to improve parks and recreation services for all residents.

Coach Mike teaches the best skateboarding lessons at Harbor Skatepark (424) 391-4591. He's been teaching my nephew and he absolutely loves the lessons with him.
I hate that this place only has 3 porta potties and no real restrooms and the fact all of the porta potties are dirty.
The park was a bit ghetto. People drinking at the park. The play ground was nice. The bathrooms were clean.
They're building a skate park in this center at the corner of Lomita and Belle Port! Will update a new review later
