History

Hands on Fun Preschool & Infant Center was established in 1986 as a family home daycare known as Dawns Quality childcare. The director/Owner, Dawn Speciale, began her career in early childhood Education as an assistant toddler teacher at creative Academy of Learning in 1980, She was promoted to lead teacher while attending Pasadena City College, studying early childhood development. She was a preschool teacher for four years. After becoming a mother she decided to open a family daycare home .The daycare enabled Dawn to insure a loving and learning environment for not only her own children but for all for all the children in her daycare. Nineteen years later, she achieved the goal of incorporating early childhood education into her home daycare.In may of 2003, Dawn was presented with the opportunity to fulfill her dream of operating a preschool & infant center. After taking advantage of this opportunity Hands on Fun Preschool & Infant Center was established.

The Philosophy of Hands on Fun Preschool & Infant Center is to provide children with a warm , loving ,and safe environment, where they will have stimulating learning experiences. Hands on fun preschool insures that the childs individuals needs are meet in the areas of: social , emotional , cognitive, physical, and creative development .Children are provided with a well balanced comprehensive curriculum which includes consistency combined with flexibility.
