History

I've been working with clients in mind / body healing arts since 2000. After falling in love with the therapeutic modality called Hakomi, I pursued a masters in psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, graduating in 2012. My private practice as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist was officially launched in September, 2016.

Specialties

I'm a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist seeing individuals, couples and families. My Oakland office is wheelchair accessible. I also see clients in San Francisco. I'm somatically trained (which means I specialize in helping people recognize and dissolve conflicts between how we think, feel and act). My work is steeped in awareness practices from the Hakomi and Buddhist traditions. Body/mind education and homework are often included, to encourage integration. The results can change how you experience your life. :-) Most people come to therapy because they want at least one aspect of their lives to be different: more joy, less anxiety, more freedom to act, or to say no. Do you want to find your authentic voice in a relationship? To stop hating/judging yourself? To feel you belong? I offer an environment for you to discover new vantage points to see and experience the world.
