The Grocery Outlet started off in San Francisco in 1946, selling discounted food from government surplus supplies. There are many stores now - probably over 20 of them dotted around the Bay Area...

Grocery Outlet holds the record for the slowest checkout lines. This is why I stopped going and now order from Amazon. I get deliveries faster.
