History
Groat Instruments originally was the luthiery work of Bob Groat, who began building guitars in 1979. From 2004 to 2010, Bob worked for Michael Dolan Custom Guitars. Michael Dolan retired from the Santa Rosa location in 2010, and Bob moved Groat Instruments to this location, expanding from building guitars and basses to also include offering repair and modification services.

All aspects of electric and acoustic guitar repairs: electronic repair, installations and modifications, structural repairs, fretwork, finishes/refinishing, and building of complete instruments.
