History

I have always loved photography and taken pictures. It's been a passion since high school when I took a class and started shooting and developing. My step-dad let me use his cameras to shoot everything I was doing from surfing and skateboarding to sailing to mountain biking and skiing, every social occasion, portraits of friends and family, etc. After a career in advertising I turned my focus back to photography six years ago and have been working in the digital realm ever since. I have the finest technology at my fingertips and am constantly inspired to continue my personal development. My motivation comes from capturing a moment that best conveys, without words or movement, who or what I'm shooting. Also I like to create a sense of intrigue as to what might exist just outside the frame and what may have happened the instant just before and just after the shutter snapped.

Creative, intimate, fun portraiture. Stunning natural beauty scenics. Outdoor adventure photography. I work fast, compact and reactive. The photograph is not about ME. It's about what is on the other side of my lens. I also specialize is creating hard-bound photo books.
