I have been a Realtor since 2016. I literally preview 50 houses per week to stay on top of current market trends. Most people think that should go with an agent that has years of experience. I don't think that is true. Many agents just live of recurring business. I don't. I don't have any like that. I have to get out there every day and find new clients. I attend classes almost every week. I learn new things. I go out and find business. When you pick an agent, find somebody that you trust, who is willing to put in the time to guide you through the (sometime tumultuous) process, and who will be there when you need him/her. Interview multiple agents and ask the important questions. How much time do you spend learning inventory? Is this a full-time job for you? How available are you (by phone, in person, or email?) Will you explain why certain events happen, and why they are important. Find the right agent. Make a good choice. The wrong choice can cost you thousands.
