Very nice refuge with an auto tour. We went in early December and there were tons of migratory birds like snow geese and many kinds of ducks. Disconcerting to hear gun shots as we looked at blue...

Going to waste. No one seems to want to keep it up to date and it is very dry with few birds or any wildlife.

At lot 14 there is a self guided walking tour with a pamphlet and it is amazing. So many birds, turtles, and other wonderful wildlife and natural things to see. The pamphlet was fun to read along...

This refuge, located on the Pacific Flyway, is a wonderful destination for birders, photographers and hunters. I believe the birds are safe once they get past the hunters and land in the reserve....
