HistoryOver centuries, the Herzog name has stood as a standard in great winemaking. For six generations, the Herzog family produced award winning, quality wines in their native Czechoslovakia. Since moving to the United States in 1948, that tradition continued under the seventh and eighth generations with a commitment to excellence undiminished by time. In 1985, the Herzog family decided to expand their winemaking operations to California, where they make wine under two separate labels: Baron Herzog and Herzog Wine Cellars. In 2005, the family reached a milestone by building its own state-of-the-art winery just south of Santa Barbara, in the town of Oxnard.
