Grant Elementary School serves more than 550 students in kindergarten through grade five and is located in San Jos , Calif. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as reading, science, social studies and mathematics. The school offers academic language acquisition classes for bilingual students and English language development classes for English learners. It also offers the Title 1 curriculum for children who need extra help in reading and math. The school additionally offers accelerated reader, gifted and talented education and school improvement programs. It provides extended after-school programs to assist students with homework. The school s media center houses a variety of reading materials and features more than 30 computers. Grant Elementary School is a part of the San Jos Unified School District.
