Originally opened in 1975 by Gene Fish, the Granary Feed & Pet Supply changed hands several times before Paul Grant purchased the business in November 2007. The Granary is a one-stop shop for animal essentials. In fact, Grant says, the Granary stocks food for everything from "lizards to camels." Delivery is available for hay, livestock feed and bedding. Grant grew up in Sonoma and lives with his wife and their dog, cats, pheasants and chickens. He is the Governor of the local Moose Lodge and president of the Valley of the Moon-Sons of Italy.

The few times I was able to go I loved this place. My husband used to go here all the time growing up as a kid. I'm so sad they closed at the end of April.

We purchased some 4 week-old chicks for our granddaughter to enjoy during her visits. These folks were friendly and informative and we were able to get everything we needed for our little chicken...

It makes me sad to write this, but....I've had to rein in my raves for The Granary and downgrade my rating after having a very frustrating experience trying to get them to stock my cat's favorite...
