History
Javi started teaching Jiu-Jitsu in 1999 and MMA in 2000 In 2003 after getting his black Belt under the re-nowed Carlson Gracie Team he started to teach Jiu-Jitsu as an accredited class at Mt Sac College in CA In 2004 he opened his own gym in La Habra CA called Showtime Jiu-Jitsu. In 2005 Javi met Rose Gracie and became an avid learner at the Gracie Academy in Torrance and he completely changed the way he taught classes and has become one of the best instructors in the US. In 2009 Javi was nominated by Sports Illustrator Magazine as the most inspirational performance of the decade in MMA.
