Go Girls! Oakland is not just a summer camp but a movement empowering girls, gender non-conforming children, and women to take center stage. Through a variety of programs including winter, spring, and summer day camps, as well as after-school clubs, Go Girls! focuses on elementary and middle school-aged girls and gender non-conforming kids.
Rising 1st-4th graders engage in activities that build social and emotional skills, emphasizing self-care, theater, expressive arts, music, and dance to foster self-love, empathy, and courageous decision-making. Meanwhile, rising 5th-6th graders collaborate to create their own media productions, honing their storytelling abilities and digital media literacy.
For rising 7th-9th graders, the Go Girls! Leadership Team program offers a platform for developing advocacy skills, fostering allyship, and exploring self-expression through various art forms. Participants are encouraged to embrace their boldest selves while championing others in their communities, creating a supportive environment for growth and creativity.
