Global Brigades

Global Brigades is the largest student-led movement for global health, working to empower communities and reduce health and economic disparities. With a holistic approach, they focus on key health and economic factors that significantly improve the well-being of communities when implemented together. Through their programs, skilled local teams collaborate with communities, establish local community committees, and collaborate with local governments to ensure long-term sustainability. Global Brigades is committed to equity and inclusion, and their programs are fully-funded through their student volunteer movement.

They offer a range of programs, including medical brigades, business brigades, public health brigades, engineering brigades, water brigades, dental brigades, and global legal empowerment. In addition to in-person international programs, they also provide virtual international experiential learning curriculum for classrooms. Since their establishment in 2004, Global Brigades has empowered over a million people, conducted numerous patient consultations, invested in community banks and businesses, and trained community health workers. Their impact is made possible through the collaboration of donors, volunteers, and full-time team members who work together to help communities achieve their health and economic goals.
