My smog check went very smooth and quick. It was like old fashion service. They didn't try to upsell me or find something wrong on my car. They seemed very trustworthy.

George's Auto Repair, located in the building that used to be the Mobile Oil Company, is a small, privately owned automotive shop. Owned and operated by George Jandera, the shop has a couple of chairs for waiting customers, a few automotive supplies like oil and air filters, and a two-car shop with lifts and machinery. The shop is certified to do smog checks and repair, and many customers claim that George's Auto Repair charges less than most other auto repair places around Davis. George's charges $90 for an estimate, and does fluid changes, electrical work, tire balancing and other basic automotive services; the shop is popular with cyclists in the area because George's allows people to inflate their tires for free.
