Dr. Kao is faculty at Stanford Pain Management. Dr. Kao studied molecular biology and psychology at UC Berkeley. At Harvard University, he earned a PhD in biostatistics after developing statistical methods in genomics and computational biology. He then pursued medical training at the University of Michigan, Yale-New Haven Hospital, and Stanford Health Care. He is the author of more than 30 scientific journal articles, ranging from genetics, genomics, proteomics, combinatorial chemistry, artificial intelligence, oncology, epidemiology, rehabilitation, and pain, . His mission is to offer all of his patients comprehensive interdisciplinary pain care, leveraging the full extent of what is known in state-of-the-art Pain Medicine.

Dr. Goldberg is board-certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She provides comprehensive neurologic care to patients with a broad range of neurologic conditions, including those who have multiple neurologic conditions. She is interested in medical education for neurology residents and for referring primary care providers and serves as Director of Neurology Resident Continuity Clinic. Additionally, she completed the Stanford CELT (Clinical Education Leadership Training) Program for developing skills in quality improvement.

Dr. William Lewis is a fellowship trained otologist. His areas of surgical expertise and interest include surgery for chronic ear infections, hearing restoration surgery (including implantable hearing devices), thyroid surgery, and endoscopic sinus surgery. Dr. Lewis is an avid swimmer, triathlete, and skier, and has been a partner at Summit ENT since 2002.
