Garces Memorial High School, located in Bakersfield, Calif., is a college preparatory, coeducational Catholic high school. Founded in 1947 by the Christian Brothers and Dominican Sisters of St. Thomas Aquinas, it is operated by the Diocese of Fresno in California. The school offers a variety of educational, enrichment and cocurricular programs to students in grades nine through 12. Garces Memorial High School offers various departments, such as counseling and college guidance, English, fine arts, foreign languages and mathematics departments. The school also provides physical education, science, computer science, social studies and theology departments. It offers various sports activities, including football, baseball, basketball, volleyball and golf.

I am on my third child at Garces and have been pleased. The academics are rigorous so if you are taking college prep courses it's like gate in the public high school. Small classes, accommodating...

garces memorial was supposed to be our home. it never was. never will be. sorry, $14750 a year is NOT worth it.

Garces was amazing when the pandemic hit. Their students did not miss a beat. They closed on Friday and we're in full class mode vis Zoom on Monday. They were able to open earlier and have been...

Faith, family and friends! Wonderful school with such traditions and unity. The academics are definitely higher level so when they get to college they are prepared.
