Gallup & Stribling Orchids

Gallup & Stribling Orchids was founded in 1947 as Alek s Orchids and is one of the largest growers of orchids throughout the United States. The company has nearly 50 acres of farmland along the California coast, more than 1 million square feet of greenhouse space, and a breeding and distribution facility. Gallup & Stribling has also operated a laboratory for more than 30 years. The laboratory is one of the largest plant tissue culture laboratories throughout the United States. Gallup & Stribling provides a spectrum of laboratory services for commercial orchid growers and orchid hobbyists throughout the world. The laboratory has nearly 15 laminar flow stations and five environmentally controlled growing rooms with more than 40,000 flasks, as well as a full-time staff of approximately 20 people. Gallup & Stribling Orchids maintains its headquarters in Carpinteria, Calif.
