History

Galeria Beso Maya is an Oakland based gallery located in the rich and diverse Dimond District. The gallery is designed to be a colorful approachable and inviting space. Beso Maya was established in 2013, by artist Yadira Cazares, to promote and empower artists within the visual and literary realms with a focus on community. The galleries program consists of showcasing an eclectic mix of emerging, established and mid-career artists with an emphasis in Latin American/Chicano/African American/Contemporary Artisans.

Specialties

We are a fine art gallery that represents emerging, established, and mid-career artists with an emphasis on diversity. We aim to represent Bay Area artists in all facets of their work by also offering artist led workshops. Our community events are designed for fun and wellness. Currently we provide a well rounded curriculum of paint and sip events, nude model figure drawing, plaster relief techniques, printmaking, mask making, musicality workshops, and more. For professionals, business owners, and supervisors, we have been offering a great array of innovative Corporate and Employee Wellness Workshops, from start-up tech companies, local business, school district, county and non-profit employees.
