History

Mario Fernandez, owner, has been in the flooring business since 2006. He has mastered the skills of a hardwood floor installer from his boss, Bruce Reid, in Accents & Essentials. As Bruce was getting ready to retire, Mario was trained in overlooking the entire flooring project from beginning to end. Mario also started working on his own flooring projects for the past several years, and in 2017, after Bruce has officially retired, Mario has branched off on his own and started his company, FZ Ogawa Flooring, with his wife Yuri Ogawa in the South Bay area.

Specialties

We specialize in solid, engineered, laminate, bamboo, cork, and vinyl wood plank flooring to residential or commercial buildings. Our services include: consultation, installation of new hardwood floors, resurfacing (sanding old floors), hardwood flooring repair, custom stairways, custom colors, special patterns, and new molding installation. We use high quality wood and other materials (ex. glue, stain, etc) that will allow your beautiful floors to last a long long time. We are happy to provide service mostly in the South Bay and Los Angeles area, but we are open to serving anywhere within 100 miles from Torrance, California. Some of our projects have been in the Santa Barbara area. Depending on the situation of the flooring project, we may work on weekends and holidays as well.
