Urban Ed Academy is dedicated to ensuring that every student in the Bay Area has the opportunity to learn from a Black male educator, recognizing that representation in the classroom significantly enhances educational outcomes for all students. Through its educator fellowship program, Man the Bay, the academy recruits, prepares, houses, and supports Black male educators throughout their professional development. By providing intentional recruitment, ongoing coaching, and wraparound support services, Urban Ed Academy aims to cultivate committed educators who are well-equipped to make a positive impact in their communities.
