Foundation Aiding the Elderly (FATE) is a California 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Corporation dedicated to ensuring that elderly individuals are treated with care, dignity, and respect during their final years when they are no longer able to care for themselves. Since 1982, FATE has been providing free information, counseling, advice, referrals, and other resources to those dealing with elder abuse or mistreatment, with the objective of bringing about national reforms and enforcement of laws governing the nursing home industry and its regulatory agencies to ensure proper care and a meaningful, dignified life for the elderly in long-term care facilities.

FATE's mission is further supported by their National Elder Fraud Hotline, which helps combat fraud against older Americans and provides support for victims. Through their advocacy efforts and commitment to elder welfare, FATE aims to bring about positive change in the nursing home industry and promote the well-being of elderly individuals across the nation.
