Redlands Police Department comprises patrol division, traffic, detective and records bureaus and communications divisions. The department offers various services to the residents of Redlands, Calif., including traffic enforcement, neighborhood watch and business coalition meetings, community problem solving activities, ongoing police training and several other law enforcement functions. Its detective bureau provides follow-up investigations on various criminal matters. Commanded by a detective lieutenant, the bureau comprises of a detective sergeant, full-time investigators, and civilian court liaison officers, and crime analysts. The department s detective bureau also handles specific assignments, such as the investigation of crimes against persons, juvenile and sexual assaults, forgery, residential and commercial burglaries, and automobile theft and other crimes. Its specialized units include special weapons and tactics, K-9 and crisis negotiation teams, and field training officer programs.
