Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, was founded in 1931 and is located in La Canada Flintridge, Calif. The school is a Catholic, independent, day and boarding school for more than 400 women in grades nine through 12. It was established by the Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose and is nonprofit corporation that is governed by a board of directors. Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy promotes community and encourages cooperation among students, teachers, administrators, parents, and support staff. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, California Association of Independent Schools and the Western Catholic Education Association. It is also a member of the National Association of Independent Schools and the National Catholic Education Association.
