First Hebrew Congregation Temple Sinai

Located in Oakland, Calif., First Hebrew Congregation promotes the principles of Judaism. It has a preschool that offers various areas, including art, blocks, dramatic play, music, reading, science and special projects. The organization s religious school serves students in grades kindergarten through seven. It also has a Midrasha that provides education to students in grades eight through 12. The educational institutions provide Jewish moral and ethical values, communal responsibility, and Jewish culture, including Hebrew and Israel. It also organizes Kabbalat Shabbat and various prayer sessions.
