History
I have been licensed for 31 years and have provided individual psychotherapy for many people. I have been in my current, conveniently located Noe Valley location since 1990. Some of my clients come for brief counseling to help them with a particular life issue. Other clients remain with me long-term, over a course of years to pursue a more in-depth psychotherapy experience.
Specialties
I have 2 specialties. 1.) The first is individual psychotherapy for people experiencing many different issues, including depression, anxiety, job stress and other stresses, and communication issues. I work with people of all ages, including adults and teenagers. I see many college students. 2.) Smoking Cessation. I help people stop smoking in 3 sessions over a 2 week time period. I utilize a highly successful, nationally recognized program, called Quit Smart.
