Fancy Nails

History

For the past three months, a construction crew of seven workers has worked around the clock to transform an empty 1,600sf space, located directly next to Elite Martial Arts and close to Walgreens, in King's Village Shopping Center, into a beautifully designed, luxurious Fancy Nails nail salon. Now Fancy Nails gleams with new paint, stylish tile floors, and rows of opulent massage chairs, and immaculate manicure stations. Owner Steven Vong immigrated to the United States from Vietnam over 20 years ago and started in the business by working in a friend's nail salon. A hard worker with an entrepreneurial spirit, Steven opened his own nail salon in North Carolina in 2004. After achieving success, Steven went on to open two more nail salons in North Carolina and operated all three salons until recently. Steven sold his businesses in North Carolina in order to move to San Jose and be closer to his wife, Jennifer Vo, and their three children.
