Fairmont Elementary School

Established in 1905, Fairmont School is an educational institution that provides a variety of academic and extracurricular options to students in pre-kindergarten through grade six. It organizes parent-teacher conferences to encourage the participation of parents in various school activities. Coordinated by the City of El Cerrito Recreation Department, Fairmont School offers an after-school enrichment program that includes classes in art, painting, poetry, chess and gardening. The school also provides a gifted and talented education (GATE) program. It organizes various fundraising events and science festivals. Fairmont School is a part of the West Contra Costa Unified School District, which serves more than 31,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school is located in El Cerrito, Calif.
