I believe psychotherapy/ counseling is essentially a journey in self-love, self-knowing and acceptance. Compassion and respect for each person's unique path are central to my work. Therapy is an opportunity to review both current and past patterns, traumas and injuries in a safe environment. My therapeutic style is interactive, helping you explore while supporting the discovery of your more authentic self. The techniques I utilize are drawn from various disciplines, such as communication theory, self-psychology, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I have extensive experience working with both individuals and couples. I see therapy as a radical rather than traditional process, focused on change rather than adjustment to expected gender roles and expectations. I work with all sexual orientations and individuals with non-conforming gender identity. Through the therapeutic relationship, I help clients develop trust and more open, non-defensive ways of interacting in the world.
