Set among rolling hills, the park features a lovely rose garden, two separate sections for veterans and a non-denominational chapel. Established in 1948, 45 of the 130-acre site are currently used for cemetery purposes with plans to expand and develop another 17 acres as part of the cemetery, while leaving 71 acres as a permanent native habitat.
