History

Christine Essex founded Essex Speech & Language with the mission of providing the very best, most effective care to residents of Southern California. I began my career in 1989 when I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders from Marywood University. I continued my education and received a Master of Science in Speech and Hearing Sciences in 1991 from the University of Arizona. From 1992 until present time I have held an ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). During my career, I have worked for various clients and cutting-edge companies offering my services. Essex Speech and Language was founded in 2005 and is the culmination of my life's work. I look forward to serving you and your family.

Specialties

Essex Speech and Language has been providing Southern California with specialized, highly tailored speech-language assessment and therapy services. We have extensive experience working with children, teens, and adults who are experiencing challenges in communicating because of diagnoses such as developmental delay, prematurity, apraxia and autism spectrum disorder.
