Essential Spirits Alambic Distillery, located in the heart of Silicon Valley, brings a bit of old world Europe to this high-tech society. Our secret weapon is the state of the art Alambic (pot) still, designed and built by a third generation still manufacturer in Bordeaux, France. It really is the Rolls Royce of stills! This wonderful equipment efficiently transforms fruit, wines, pomace and brews into exceptionally fine spirits and we intend to use this elegant equipment, coupled with our distilling expertise, to create an array of high quality, specialty liquors. Dave is a decorated veteran of the Viet Nam war and long time resident of Mountain View. And Owner as well as head of production, his European training in the art of distilling brings artistry and efficiency to his skill. An uncompromising commitment to quality acquired from his 20+ year career in Process Engineering at Hewlett Packard Company, guides him in a constant effort to refine the products of Essential Spirits Andrea, a life long resident of Mountain View, helps to run the business side of the operation and occasionally shares in the distilling responsibilities. With over 20+ years experience in high-tech sales and marketing, she brings the skills and creativity needed to introduce Essential Spirits' unique products to the North American market. Dave Jr has followed in his parents footsteps for all his life. Having also worked in the tech industry 10+ years, for such giants as Hewlett Packard, Agilent Technologies, and Fairchild Semiconductor, he too shared the feeling that life had something more to offer, something different. With his extensive IT background, and and passion for distilling, he brings not only a "high-tech" edge to the company, but also hope for future generations in the family business, and a first step in creating a dynasty, and the shared hope that distilling will "run in the family" from now on. Audrey studied cultural anthropology and uses her critical and analytical thinking skills and enthusiasm for travel to introduce and market our line of spirits to international and diverse domestic markets. Being the youngest of the family, she developed a relationship with the still through cleaning and maintenance and as a result shares a passion for the craft of artisan distilling. She looks forward to a lifetime of work with and for family.
