I hope you don't have to use a facility or rehabilitation center, but if you do, this is one of six I've spent extensive time at as a visitor and I am beyond impressed. My first pick, for sure....

The Escondido Care Center offers a variety of rehabilitative services. It has a team of rehabilitation professionals that includes occupational and physical therapists. The center offers a range of services, including 24-hour nursing care, home-style dining and therapeutic diets. In addition, The Escondido Care Center provides a full battery of physical, occupational, intravenous and respiratory therapies. The center provides specialized facilities and programs, including short-term stay, social services and wound care, as well as a care center for patients who suffer from Alzheimer's disease. Additionally, it offers an on-campus beauty shop, laundry, and chaplain and church services. The Escondido Care Center is a part of Healthcare Management Services. The center is located in Escondido, Calif.

Hard to get ahold of anyone. Voicemail not set up. If you do get ahold of someone they transfer you to a department then that one doesn't have voicemail. Some great nurses there who do care.

If i could give them less i would. My father was there for four days, in that time no shower. No access to a phone. Dirty room in bad repair. A staff that was rude and not willing to assist basic...

I'm thankful I am the advocate for my grandpa as I am terrified for how they treat patients who don't have family or assistance.

This place may not be the nicest looking, but let me tell you this - they treated my dad with dignity, and he recovered quickly. So, we really can't complain.
