History

My hairstyling career sprang from a passion of doing my neighbor's hair for school dances, combined with a necessity to pay for college. I studied both Cosmetology and Esthetics at Citrus Community College. My first job after receiving my license was at a barber shop, where I excelled at men's haircutting. I then assisted at a salon for 2 stylists, including one of the salon's owners, before I moved on to work behind the chair. The majority of my career has been in Claremont. I spent 2 years however working as both a stylist and salon manager at a high-end salon in Los Angeles. I have done extensive training since becoming licensed, most notably at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica.

Hello. I do hair. I'm Emily. I specialize in haircutting and updo/formal event hair. I pride myself as being a perfectionist who can't help but pay attention to detail. I don't rush to ensure that you receive the best service possible. My top priority is the health of my clients' hair, as well as providing cuts/styles that accommodate both the clients' hair and their lifestyle, and grow out beautifully. *Due to an allergy to hair color I mostly offer single-process hair color services. Consultation is required.
