Elsinore High School, founded in 1891, is the oldest high school in the Lake Elsinore Unified School District and one of the oldest in Riverside County. With a student enrollment of 2,202 in 2008-2009, the school boasts a faculty of 88 teachers and 16 administrative, counseling, and staff personnel.

Recognized for its academic excellence, Elsinore High School is a California Distinguished School, an AVID National Demonstration School, and a Riverside County Office of Education Model of Excellence for its special education program.
