The El Moro Elfin Forest in Los Osos, CA, is a 90-acre natural area managed by San Luis Obispo County Parks and California State Parks, featuring diverse plant communities such as coastal brackish marsh, riparian woodland, and pygmy oak woodland. This unique habitat supports over 200 species of plants, 110 types of birds, and various mammals and reptiles, while also housing Chumash middens that reflect the area's rich cultural history.

Established in 1994 by the Los Osos Morro Bay Chapter of Small Wilderness Area Preservation, now known as Friends of El Moro Elfin Forest, the organization is dedicated to preserving and maintaining this vital ecosystem. Their mission includes educating the public about the natural history of the Elfin Forest and the Morro Bay Estuary, as well as promoting scientific research within the area.
