Elephanta

History

Recently established by Radha Carman, the goal of Elephanta is to celebrate artistic traditions from around the world through classes, workshops and performances. Since 1997, Radha Carman led the non-profit organization, Kerala Dance Theatre, in performance arts tours throughout the U.S., India, Central and South America.

Specialties

Elephanta offers cultural arts classes in West Hills (in the West San Fernando Valley). Upcoming classes include an Indian dance fitness class, and a storytelling class for children. Elephanta also offers workshops and performances at culture and education centers throughout the U.S. As director of Elephanta, Radha Carman specializes in the performing arts of South India, Mohini Attam, Kathakali and Bharata Natyam.
