History

The first El Taquito Restaurant opened its doors in 1976 in Hayward, CA. Many customers will vividly remember the 3-table hole in the wall on D st. After 5 years of thriving success, El Taquito moved to its current location on Mission Blvd. Francisco (Paco) y his loving wife Aurora Padilla believed that offering top quality food, excellent customer service and plentiful portions would allow their small business dreams to stand the test of time. And stand the test of time they did. The legacy left by Mr. and Mrs. Padilla continues today, decades after the original El Taquito opened for business. El Taquito restaurant still offers the same authentic food experience and environment as it did in 1976. In fact, customers can now conveniently visit the second location on Winton Ave. (between Amador and Santa Clara St.) The Padilla children are honored to continue their parents original vision. They are dedicated to honoring their parents hard work and perseverance.
