Gas is way expensive. $1 more than Mariposa at times. Tell me it costs that much to bring a tanker truck up to a unmanned station??? The store attached is equally expensive, albeit the sandwiches...

This is your last chance for gas before going into the park so if you need gas they have you by the balls. Give you an idea i filled up at the costco in fresno $3.61/gallon and had to pay...

Get gas in Merced before heading up in to the mountains. Gas here is very, very expensive. Current price is around $4.26 per gallon for regular unleaded.
