El Monte Public Works Maintenance Division specializes in providing city residents the expertise level of service to ensure optimum maintenance. Based in El Monte, Calif., the public work department offers range of services, including street, curb, sidewalk repair, graffiti abatement, sewer maintenance, street signage, traffic signal, street light maintenance, parkway tree maintenance, street sweeping, etc. The Division has expertise in assisting residents in emergency situations and extreme weather conditions as well as supporting community events. It provides three standby crews on duty 24-hours a day, 365 days a year for emergencies. Police personnel can reach these emergency standby crews via a paging system. In case of extreme emergency situations, the superintendent and supervisors are ready to help.
