El Gallo Bakery, established in 1949 by siblings Magdalena Martinez-Huerta and Lauro, is a renowned bakery in Los Angeles, CA, known for its authentic and meticulously crafted traditional Mexican panes dulces. Despite the challenge of using American ingredients, Magdalena developed and refined her recipes over time, resulting in baked goods that taste just like those made in her father's bakeries in Mexico.

Today, under the management of Jesus Huerta, El Gallo Bakery has embraced modernity with state-of-the-art equipment, including large mixers, ovens, sheeters, proffers, and a spacious walk-in refrigerator. Despite these advancements, the bakery remains committed to preserving the traditional methods and flavors that have made it a beloved institution for over seven decades.

Ordered sweet bread, burritos and tamales. Only one of three was great. The burrito was a bit sad and small. The tamale was pretty bad. Not trying to bash but please do better. Service was meh.
