El Cerrito Swim Center

The El Cerrito Community Center conducts several programs for youths, adults and senior citizens. It is available on rent for public and private group gatherings on weekends. The center s main dining room can accommodate up to 220 people. It offers a variety of activities, including pottery, painting, sewing, ikebana, naginata, aikido, shoalin wushu, yoga, parenting workshops and Polynesian dance. The center hosts several programs, such as school-age child care, preschool and holiday camps. It also organizes various after-school enrichment programs, including guitar classes, tennis, drama, carpentry, chess playing, creative writing, Spanish instruction, gardening and basketball. The center also offers swimming and lifeguard training classes. The community center is located in El Cerrito, Calif., and is a part of the El Cerrito Recreation Department.
