Edward J Alfrey,MD

Dr. Alfrey is a Board Certified General Surgeon and the Medical Director of MarinHealth Medical Network's General Surgery program in Marin. Dr. Alfrey earned his M.D. at the University of Colorado and completed his Internship and Residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Dr. Alfrey also did a Fellowship in Transplantation, an area he has a special interest in. He later earned his Master's degree in Health Care Management at Harvard University and studied Advanced Laproscopic Surgery at UCSF. Dr. Alfrey came to MarinHealth Medical Network from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine where he was a Professor of Surgery for 6 years, prior to which we was a Professor of Surgery at Penn State (5 years) and Stanford (9 years).
