Dr. Hanzelik and his partner, Dr. John Horton, began their integrative practice of medicine in Westlake Village, California in 1992. In an initial mailing to the community, Dr. Hanzelik described his commitment to certain principles: to treat the whole person, to emphasize prevention, to support the individual's active participation in his or her own recovery, to seek the safest remedies with an openness to complementary methods, and to cooperate with the remarkable healing capacities of the human body. His practice has grown steadily and he has a strong reputation in the community for competent, creative, caring medicine. Patients travel from across the country to receive his care. He and Dr. Horton co-authored a book with Tim Gallwey, entitled:

Dr Hanzelik is unlike any doctor I've had. Unlike most over worked doctors that just try to get through as many patients as they can, he takes the time to really explain things to you.

Dr. Hanzelik really listens to his patients! He may run a little late because of it, but I don't mind the wait because we all need to a caring ear. I believe I got the best medical care I ever...
