Edison ESI

Edison ESI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Southern California Edison and specializes in large electrical and mechanical equipment repair, maintenance, test and calibration for the power and industrial markets. Its customers include utilities agencies, cogenerators, independent power producers, major industries and public bodies. Edison ESI has a staff of more than 250 people, including craftsmen and technicians. It operates a 400,000 square feet of service facility and is an ISO 9001:2000 certified. Its material testing laboratory is staffed by several chemists who perform oil quality and dissolved gas analysis on electrical equipment. Edison ESI s electronic technologies group performs repair on field instrumentation, voltage regulators, circuit breaker testers and power-carrier relaying systems.
